About Scotland Bike Tours
Scotland Bike Tours is a company run by an enthusiastic team of local people with extensive experience in cycling and outdoor activities in Scotland and around the world.
Our cycle tours in the Highlands have been designed from our own experiences of travelling through other parts of the world, and from years of riding our bikes in Scotland. Keep an eye on the website, as we will be adding new tours all the time as we discover new routes to share with you.
Most of our trips begin and end in Inverness or Pitlochry and have been planned to allow you to see parts of the towns and surroundings that would be hard to find without a bike, and are not on the standard "tourist trail". A trip to Inverness is not complete without visiting Loch Ness, but we do that from the less touristy side which we hope you will appreciate with a bike.
We are also able to tailor make a tour for you and are happy to cycle anywhere in the Highlands - get in touch for ideas!
Guided Tours or Private group tour
Our guided tours are in small groups of up to 12 people. We ride together along a network of cycle tracks and quiet roads. Our first hand experience and local knowledge, together with our team of local guides means we can offer you an informative, fun tour. If you prefer to book a private tour for yourself and your family or friends, that's no problem - just give us a call or mail to arrange this.
Scotland Bike Tours likes small groups so we can talk to each other and cycle together. Our normal group-size is between 6 and 12 plus a guide. There is often a wide range of ages in the group, with couples, singles, males, females, families and groups of friends etc. You will meet a lot of interesting people.
Our friendly, interesting and enthusiastic guides are there to show you the best cycle routes and to tell you a bit about where you are and what you are seeing. Our guides have a passion for cycling and a passion for our Scotland. They will make your surrounds come alive and give you plenty of insider information. Your guide will be able to point out the best pubs and cafes, and we often end up helping to plan the rest of your time in Scotland offering our top tips on what to see.
We love travelling by bike. It makes us feel good and helps the environment.
A sense of adventure and an open mind are the most important things you can bring with you. If you can ride a bike and want to explore then we have a tour for you. We have a fleet of adult bikes and also some kid's bikes, baby seats, and a few tag-alongs that attach to our adult bikes.
